  7.     "t's me on this album," says Gloria Estefan proudly of her
  8. hot new showcase Cuts Both Ways. Miami Sound Machine and its
  9. lead singer spice up the mainstream with their blend of salsa
  10. and pop, and her influence on last week's release is powerful.
  11. She wrote seven of its ten songs, and on the CD and cassette
  12. sings two of them in English and Spanish. Even if they don't
  13. understand the language, she says, "people should like getting
  14. two free songs."
